I hope you enjoy what you find here. I will be adding more free patterns as time goes by, so be sure to check back regularly or sign up to follow this blog. If you’ve made something from any of my patterns and you find yourself in a sharing kind of mood, I would love for you to post a photo of your amigurumi on my Facebook page. I’ll put them all together with the others in this album: Your Moji-Moji Creations I’m always excited to see what you made! (I can link the photos to your blog/page or shop too, if you wish, just let me know the details). Happy crocheting to you all!
Click below on the picture of the pattern you want. This will take you to a page where you can either download the pattern or read it in the relevant blog post.
Have fun with these patterns but please don’t re-publish them in any way or post them on your own pages. You are very welcome to post any images you like with a link back to my blog. I am happy for you to make and sell the finished articles from both my free and paid for patterns. A credit for Moji-Moji Design (Janine Holmes) as the pattern creator would make me very happy and a link to my blog or any of my online shops (listed on the ‘Pattern Store’ page) would be the icing on the cake!
I use US crochet terms throughout my patterns. However, it is easy to convert them to UK terms – simply refer to the chart below and substitute the stitches accordingly.
American (US) | British (UK) | ||
ch | chain | ch | chain |
slst | slip stitch | ss | slip stitch |
sc | single crochet | dc | double crochet |
hdc | half double crochet | htr | half treble crochet |
dc | double crochet | tr | treble crochet |
tr | treble crochet | dtr | double treble crochet |
skip | miss |
In order to keep the handmade love going please note that wholesale manufacturing of items from my patterns is not permitted. Thank you.

January 11, 2014 at 9:33 am
I love love love the tiny snowmen!! For some reason the file would not download. I downloaded the owls so I think I know how to. Could you please send me the file via email. I would very much appreciate it. I am thinking the snowmen would make a great garland, with the snowmen holding hands. Of course I would have to start now to be ready for Christmas! LOL!
February 5, 2014 at 9:57 am
They look fabulous! I do have a question, but could I make (myself) for example several owls for an animal shelter to sell them to finance their medical costs and such? It would not wholesale, just me and myself making them in my free time. If you prefer not, I fully understand and will not do it. Thanks for replying!
February 6, 2014 at 10:27 am
Hello Evy, thanks for asking, yes you may make them for profit, (either for yourself or for charitable causes). What a lovely thing to do for your local animal shelter:-) have fun with the pattern!
February 6, 2014 at 10:32 am
Thank you very much! I wanted to ask first and would not have used them for profit without your approval. It will only be to gain money for the animal shelter and for nothing else. Thanks again and thanks for the very lovely critters :).
February 6, 2014 at 8:17 pm
These are absolutely lovely. I have been looking for a cute owl because where I work our mascot is an owl. I have wanted to make a few small owls for my friends at work. When I get them done i will put a homemade tag with all credit to you! Thank you for taking the time to do these lovely little things.
February 6, 2014 at 10:35 pm
Thank you Jackie, that is really appreciated. I hope your friends love your thoughtful gifts!
March 10, 2014 at 3:05 pm
Love your patterns and seen the grey squirrel one on Jenny’s squirrel site on facebook. Is the squirrel pattern available for knitting as I can’t get the hang of crochet?
March 10, 2014 at 4:38 pm
Hi Sue, the Squirrel will only be available as a crochet pattern in the near future (due to be published in a book in May 2014). I do have plans to convert a lot of my patterns to knitting when I get the time though so do keep a look out. My facebook page will have regular announcements of new patterns.
March 23, 2014 at 5:56 pm
Thanks for the pattern, I love them!
They make a nice “train project”. (I travel to work by train and I like to crochet little things in the train.)
Your owls will be flying in the Netherlands.

January 2, 2015 at 12:34 pm
Hi Mary, glad to hear you are about to try out amigurumi. I hope you get as much pleasure from your new hobby as I do! June Gilbank’s page here offers some really good tips on getting started.
http://www.planetjune.com/blog/amigurumi-help/crochet-basics-right-handed/
or there are some useful videos on YouTube if you type in beginners amigurumi. Have fun! And wishing you a great New Year too 🙂
January 7, 2015 at 1:49 pm
Do you have any free Knitting Patterns please as these are crochet and I can not crochet
January 8, 2015 at 1:04 am
Hi Barbara, I don’t have any free knitting patterns yet. Though I do knit so that may be something I would be able to do in the future. Crocheting amigurumi is very easy and satisfying to learn though. If you want to give it a go I could recommend some great ‘how to’ videos for you (June Gilbank from Planet june has some great ones on her website).
January 9, 2015 at 12:06 am
I would also like some knitting patterns along with the crochet patterns. A little of both patterns would be great!! Thank you!!
January 9, 2015 at 2:02 pm
It’s on my ‘to do’ list for 2015!
January 9, 2015 at 8:47 pm
THANK YOU AGAIN!!!!
